International Workshop on Multiscale Modelling of Materials for Energy Conversion Applications

November 8-9, 2012, Athens, Greece

Next generation materials, especially such used for energy conversion applications,
contain building blocks on several length scales and exhibit pronounced complexity. To
treat such systems computationally, many different well established physical models are
employed as individual steps in complex simulation protocols. This workshop will bring
together broad groups of experts in high-performance computing, multiscale
modelling, industrial users, and experimental researchers. It will enable knowledge
exchange and foster adoption of novel approaches for multiscale modelling that are
developed and provided within the MMM@HPC project.

Dates and deadlines


The workshop will be held in a hotel in central Athens which will provide
sufficient accommodation for all workshop participants. The hotel will be
announced here by end of September and then you can book. In order to
arrange for your travel we recommend to you to book a flight to Athens
International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) from which the hotel will be
accessed conveniently.
